In 2019, “a beloved tale will take you to new heights”, the teaser trailer for Disney’s upcoming film Dumbo informs.
A live-action remake of the Disney classic, directed by Tim Burton, the film stars Danny DeVito, Colin Farrell, Eva Green, Michal Keaton, and Alan Arkin. According to the official synopsis, “Dumbo introduces Holt Farrier (Farrell), a former circus star who finds his life turned upside down when he returns from the war. Circus owner Max Medici (DeVito) enlists Holt to care for a newborn elephant whose oversized ears make him a laughingstock in an already struggling circus. But when Holt’s children discover that Dumbo can fly, persuasive entrepreneur V.A. Vandevere (Keaton) and an aerial artist named Colette Marchant (Green) swoop in to make the peculiar pachyderm a star”.
The teaser, set to the rythms of “Baby Mine” performed by Norwegian singer/songwriter Aurora Colson, gives viewers a glimpse into Dreamland and also features the big-eared baby elephant taking flight for the first time.
Dumbo is set to open in theaters on March 29, 2019.
