Netflix has released the official trailer for its upcoming film Set It Up, starring Zoey Deutch and Glen Powell.
Written by Katie Silberman and directed by Claire Scanlon, the romantic comedy follows New York assistants Harper (Zoey Deutch) and Charlie (Glen Powell) as they team up and hatch a plan to get their high-powered and highly demanding bosses to fall in love with each other.
Lucy Liu and Taye Diggs portray the youngsters’ bosses, Kristen and Rick, who, judging by the trailer, work extra hours and have little time left for social life, which implies extra hours also for Harper and Charlie. The cast also includes Meredith Hagner, Wau Ching Ho, Pete Davidson, Joan Smalls, and Jon Rudnitsky.
The trailer, scored by Saint Motel’s 2014 single “My Type”, from the band’s EP of the same name, reveals that Harper comes up with the idea of locking their bosses in the same room, hoping that they will fall for each other and she and Charlie will get more free time. As they start putting their plan into action, Harper and Charlie find themselves falling in love with each other. Will they manage to achieve their goal? The answer will be found out on June 15, when the film will launch on the streaming service.
