Kia’s latest commercial tugs at people’s heartstrings while showcasing Kia’s connectivity features.
The 60-second ad, titled “Truly Connected”, revolves around the relationship between a teenage girl who’s a street singer and guitar player and her father, who doesn’t agree with her doing that kind of activity. On his way through the town, at the wheel of his all-new Kia Picanto, the man sees his daughter performing in front of passers-by, but does not stop the car to talk to her or even say “hi”, which obviously hurts her feelings.
Things change on a rainy day, when the dad decides to give the girl a ride back home. He grabs an umbrella and helps her carry her guitar to the car, which features a power lift trunk, and once they are in the car, uses Bluetooth to connect to Kia and play her music.
The emotional sountrack is provided by Korean-American singer based in South Korea Kate Kim, who is also a part-time Youtuber.
The all-new Kia picanto, with a 67-ps, 1.0-liter MPI engine, also boasts heated front seats, heated steering wheel, sun visor illumination lamps, a vivid 7″ color LCD screen, which is shared by the rearview camera and the audio system, an optional five-speaker 3.0 audio system with RDS, which includes a monochrome TFT LCD screen and offers, in addition to radio, connectivity with portable devices through its AUX and USB inputs, audio remote controls, manual and auto temperature control, sunroof, auto light control, and more.
In terms of space, it features 60:40 split folding rear seats and dual-level luggage board, double tray, front cup holder, glove box, and center console armrest.
The available safety technologies include Rear View Camera with dynamic guidelines, Parking Distance Warning – Reverse, Hill-start Assist Control, Tire Pressure Monitoring System, Braking System, and others.
