Subway heralds this year’s Helping Hearts Family 5K series in a new ad airing in the UK, highlighting there will be nine runs across the country between April and September.
Southampton will host the event on 29th April, at Southampton Common, Glasgow on 3rd June, at Strathclyde Park, Cambridge on 10th June, at Jesus Green, Nottingham on 24th June, at Wollaton Park. 1st of July will mark the run at Newport’s Tredegar Park and 22nd of July at Edinburgh’s Holyrood Park. While Belfast’s Ormeau Park will be the starting place for the run on 12th August, and Maidstone’s Mote Park for the run on 16th September, Birmingham is still to communicate the date for the event, which will take place in Cannon Hill Park.
The sandwich restaurant chain also informs, in the 40-second spot, soundtracked by the overture to the opera William Tell, whose music was composed by Gioachino Rossini, that the fantastically fun “field of fresh” is also returning for the final 500m, with wacky inflatables designed in the shape of salad items, inspired by the Subway menu.
Children under 12 years old run for free and it’s £8 per person for the rest of the family when you register online. All participants receive, for free, participant T-shirt, Subway lunch, finishers’ medal and access to the fun family entertainment area.
The raised money helps fund the Heart Research UK and Subway Healthy Heart’s initiative, aimed at providing up to £10,000 each to local projects throughout the UK that promote a heart healthy lifestyle in their local communities.
