After its 2017 animated spot, promoting the Early Booking, P&O Ferries has opted, this year, for a playfull couple who leave chance decide for their next move on board.
The spot, part of the #WhatNext campaign, follows the two lovers on a ferry as they play various games on in order to decide, without fighting, what their next activity should be. Brasserie or bar? Coffee or champagne? Club Lounge or deck views? When they want different things, coin flipping, drawing straws, and rock-paper-scissors are among the methods the couple choose to settle their “disputes”. Serving as the perfect soundtrack is Ray Charles’ “Mess Around”, taken from his first release on LP, “Ray Charles” (1957).
The British-based company that operates ferries from the United Kingdom to Ireland and Continental Europe also runs a #WhatNext campaign competition, offering a prize which consists of 1 x family crossing on the route that serves the winner’s recommended destination, with 4 x Club Lounge seats for one leg of the journey and priority boarding in both directions, or a Cabin on each leg of the journey. The promotion, ending Friday 13 April 2018, is a free prize draw and is open to anyone who submits an entry through the competition mechanic via Facebook. In order to participate, those interested must comment on P&O Ferries’ #WhatNext Facebook posts and share their recommendations on top tips or where to find the best “hidden gem” attractions around Calais, Rotterdam, Zeebrugge, Cairnryan or Larne.
