Mango continues its Spring/Summer 2018 campaign with a new commercial, featuring some of the pieces included in the new collection.
Titled “A Summer Story”, the 30-second spot gives viewers a glimpse into the lives of two couples who are together on a trip in Deià, a village on the northwest coast of the Spanish island of Mallorca. Romantic and fluid pieces, crochet fabrics, ethnic prints in earth tones and flat mules are showcased against a backdrop that includes pine-covered cliffs and groves of olives and oranges on a hillside, above the sea.
Among the pieces standing out are the embroidered long dress featuring round neckline, mock drawstring, tassel detail, long buttoned sleeve, and bow at waist, the striped linen-blend top in sky blue, with button closure and bare shoulder, the matching striped linen-blend trousers, and the maxi sleeve blouse, featuring round neck and bell sleeve with embroidered and openwork details. Several accessories, including sunglasses and hats, are also shown.
The soundtrack music is the 2014 single “Skydive” by Astronauts (which is the solo musical project of the UK songwriter Dan Carney), appearing on the 2014 album “Hollow Ponds”.
Mango’s Spring/Summer 2018 campaign was launched earlier this year, in February, with a film shot by Mario Sorrenti in Fuerteventura, starring Anna Ewers, Amber Valletta and Noah Mills. The brand’s Spring Summer 2018 Committed campaign is fronted by Arizona Muse.
