Estrella Damm UK has released the trailer for the brand’s newest film, “La Vida Nuestra”, starring Peter Dinklage and Álvaro Cervantes.
Directed by Raúl Arévalo, the film revolves around Antón (Cervantes), a young man who – according to the official synopsis – “has moved his life and career to Amsterdam, leaving behind Cora (Ingrid García-Jonsson) and one of his best friends, Rafa (Marcel Borràs)”, and is helped by detective Chad Johnson (Dinklage) to “make a big decision.”
“I’m an elegant and successful man. And I have one thing that you don’t have: I know how to enjoy life,” Dinklage’s character, who is a private investigator in the City of Angels, tells Cervantes, while walking on a bar’s counter, in the opening scene of the trailer. The two men are seen together in the following scenes, each with a bottle of Estrella Damm in their hands almost every time, creating memories. The song used in the trailer is a remix of Sam Cooke’s single “Feel It (Don’t Fight It)” by AronChupa.
The full film will be launched at Estrella Damm’s website, on 3rd of May.
In the past years, the beer brand has tapped other famous actors to appear in its short films. In 2017, Jean Reno and Laia Costa co-starred in a film directed by award-winning director Alberto Rodríguez, about a man finding out what really matters in life, and, in 2016, 50 Shades of Grey’s star Dakota Johnson joined Quim Gutiérrez for the 12-minute romantic-comedy drama Vale, co-written and directed by Alejandro Amenábar, about an American tourist in Ibiza who catches the eye of a local and how using shared passions helps break down language barriers.
Estrella Damm is, according to the brand, “The beer of Barcelona, brewed using only 100% natural ingredients to the original recipe from 1876.” In the UK, it is distributed by Charles Wells.
