Warner Bros. Pictures has released the trailer for the upcoming romantic comedy “Crazy Rich Asians”.
According to the official synopsis, the movie follows native New Yorker Rachel Chu (Constance Wu) as she accompanies her longtime boyfriend, Nick Young (Henry Golding), to his best friend’s wedding in Singapore. Excited about visiting Asia for the first time but nervous about meeting Nick’s family, Rachel is unprepared to learn that Nick has neglected to mention a few key details about his life. It turns out that he is not only the scion of one of the country’s wealthiest families but also one of its most sought-after bachelors.
Lisa Lu, Gemma Chan, Chris Pang, Jimmy O. Yang, Ronny Chieng and Nico Santos are among the film stars.
Based on the acclaimed worldwide bestseller by Kevin Kwan, written by Peter Chiarelli and Adele Lim, and directed by Jon M. Chu, “Crazy Rich Asians” is set to premiere on August 17, 2018.
The song playing in the trailer is Glorious by Macklemore feat Skylar Grey, released on June 15, 2017, as the lead single from Macklemore’s second solo studio album, Gemini.
