BMW X2 TV Advert Song

BMW has launched a new ad in the UK, showcasing the first ever BMW X2 and encouraging you to “Be the one who dares”.

“Why is it we spend so much time fitting in when there’s so much joy in standing out?” the voiceover asks at the beginning of the 30-second spot, which features a young woman leaving her dim office to get to the steering wheel of a BMW X2.

According to the automaker, this “athletic” Sports Activity Coupé “is ready to go beyond the everyday commute and get adventurous” thanks to key features like “agile dynamics, tremendous 400Nm pulling power and high-precision handling”.

The soundtrack music is “Young Men Dead” by American psychedelic rock band The Black Angels, from their debut album, “Passover”, released in 2006. This song was also included on the soundtrack for the 2011 snowboard movie “The Art of Flight”.

In terms of design, the BMW X2 combines the coupé-like design with the ruggedness of the BMW X model, featuring “prominent wheel arches”, “brilliant light alloy wheels”, “sloping roof line”, “stylish side skirts”, “sporty twin tailpipes” embedded in the rear apron in Frozen Grey, and a change in the position of the BMW emblem, which is, in this case, next to the Hofmeister kink on the C pillar. The interior “balances sporty and athletic contours with beautiful details to create a bold aesthetic” – a sporty control centre with ergonomic driver’s seat and all instruments and functions within easy reach and intuitive to operate, high-quality upholstery options, six live tiles with real-time capabilities, available with intuitive iDrive Controller and optional voice and touch controls, and flexible rear bench seating with three sections that can be folded down easily are only some of the features of the BMW X2 interior.

Optional features include a full-colour BMW Head-up Display and ambient light available in White, BMW Orange, Blue, Green, Bronze or Lilac and additional lighting effects in the four-door panel and the centre console.

For the first time ever within the BMW X family, the BMW X2 will also be available as a M Sport X model.
