Netflix has released the trailer for its upcoming original series Troy: Fall Of A City.
The eight-part show, written by David Farr, Nancy Harris, Mika Watkins, and Joe Barton, and directed by Owen Harris and Mark Brozel, retells the story of the 10 year siege of Troy, which occurred in the 12 or 13th century BC, focusing on herdsman Paris, who, searching for the woman promised to him by Aphrodite, learns his true identity and falls for Helen of Sparta, the wife of King Menelaus, igniting a Greek-Trojan War.
The cast ensemble includes Louis Hunter as Paris, Bella Dayne as Helen, David Threlfall as Priam, Tom Weston-Jones as Hector, Joseph Mawle as Odysseus, Frances O’Connor as Hecuba, Chloe Pirrie as Andromache, and others.
The miniseries, which is a co-production between BBC One and Netflix, has been airing in the UK since February 17, 2018. The streaming service will launch all episodes on April 6.
