Pepsi MAX has brought together five of the world’s best footballers – Leo Messi, Marcelo, Toni Kroos, Carli Lloyd and Dele Alli – for an action-packed, high-energy kickabout with paint-filled balls with fans. Their game ended up also on the small screen, as a commercial released with the tagline “Love it. Live it.”, which also celebrates the brand’s status of proud partner of Champions League.
The spot, part of Pepsi’s global 2018 “LOVE IT. LIVE IT. FOOTBALL” campaign, features the five football players showing off their amazing skills on the streets of a town where fans throw dodge paintballs at them from all directions. As they race through the crowd and walls, windows and people get splattered from head to toe in paint, more witnesses decide to join the game and cheer on the players.

Renowned lensman Danny Clinch has captured, for this campaign, a series of bold, black & white portraits of the five athletes, aimed at bringing to life their unique skills. The soft drinks global giant also announced that, throughout the year, will be releasing additional content and experiences that make fans to truly love and live the game, including personal conversations with the players, UEFA Champions League Final access and entertainment, and content from the definitive media brand for football and fan culture, COPA90.
