Mercedes-Benz presents, in its latest commercial, the new Mercedes-Benz A-Class, showcasing its many personalisation options and illustrating the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX).
The ad stars a variety of persons interacting directly with the car, whose main features are listed by the voiceover. “This is the new A-Class. Like any car, it has a display. But you can make it look like this, like this or maybe this,” he says referring to the various available personalisation options, which include personalisation of display styles in the instrument cluster and in the central display, of ambient lighting, and more.
The ad also shows that the new A-Class can be opened via the Mercedes me mobile app and voice-controlled, the revolutionary built-in smart assistant, which is to be approached with just two word, “Hey Mercedes”, being able to perform a range of tasks, from adjusting the ai conditioning, making calls while you’re focusing on the road ahead, and playing the music you want. When one of the drivers starring in the ad asks “Hey Mercedes, play me some hip-hop”, Nicki Minaj, the Queen of hip-hop herself, appears in the passenger seat.
Active Brake Assist with cross-traffic function (a feature expected to be available in the fourth quarter of 2018), Park Assist system, and a new feature that helps you avoid traffic blocks ahead are also illustrated, before the voiceover adds, at the end of the spot, that “it’s a car, yeah, but a car that is a little more like you”.
