AT&T continues its “More For Your Thing” campaign with a new ad, promoting its DIRECTV NOW service, which is now available for $10 per month for 3 months.
Titled “Break Up”, the 30-second spot features a young woman throwing her ex boyfriend’s personal things out the window, while he’s downstairs, on the sidewalk, looking at her and being unable to react. “DIRECTV NOW gives you more for your thing. Your ‘letting go’ thing. Your ‘Sorry, not sorry’ thing. Your ‘Out with the old in with the new onto bigger and better’ thing.” the voiceover says, while the woman is seen dropping his clothes, his guitar, and other belongings, and finally taking a seat on her bed and selecting Mr. Mercedes series to watch on DIRECTV NOW.
The voiceover also urges viewers to get the live TV they love with “no bulky hardware, no satellite, and no annual contract.” and try DIRECTV NOW for $10 per month for 3 months.
The ad also informs that this offer is valid for a limited time and for new subscribers only. This is the price for “Live a Little” package after instant discount and, in order to redeem discount, the code “YESNOW3” must be used at directvnow.com. It is also mentioned that, after three months, the sucbscriptions remews monthly at full price (min. $35/month) unless you cancel.
The song playing in the background is the 2017 single “Water Me” by Minneapolis native singer Lizzo, which is her body-positive, self-care anthem.
