Burger King prepares something special for chocolate lovers: the Chocolate Whopper. The burger chain has released a commercial heralding the (possible) launch of the delicious treat and making probably thousands of people crave in front of TVs.
The spot features the making of the Chocolate Whopper, which includes a chocolate cake bun, a flame grilled chocolate patty, raspberry syrup drizzle, white chocolate rings to symbolize the onions, candied blood oranges to portray tomatoes, some milk chocolate leaves for the lettuce, and vanilla frosting as the mayo.
At the end of the video, the voiceover says “Coming soon… maybe.” which leads to two possibilities: this Whopper won’t be on the menu, the announcement being just an April Fool’s Day prank, or it is some kind of test to see the public’s reaction.
Burger King’s Whopper Burger is made with savory flame-grilled beef topped with juicy tomatoes, fresh lettuce, creamy mayonnaise, ketchup, crunchy pickles, and sliced white onions, all on a soft sesame seed bun.
Last year, Burger King celebrated April Fool’s Day with a commercial showcasing the Whopper Toothpaste as the solution for those who’re craving a hamburger, but don’t want the calories. Back in 1998, the fast-food chain announced the “Left-Handed Whopper”, designed exclusively for left-handed people, in which all the ingredients were rotated 180 degrees so that left-handed customers could crush the hamburger with ease.
