“Everyone’s a winner with Sun Bingo,” online bingo operator Sun Bingo highlights in its latest advert, urging viewers to spend £10 and get a guaranteed prize every day.
The spot, which marks the first work of agency The&Partnership London for Sun Bingo and the advertising debut of Jack Clough, the director of BBC Three comedy series People Just Do Nothing, features comedian Jayde Adams performing an original song to the tune of Funky Dee’s grime masterpiece “Are You Gonna Bang Doe?”, which raises the question “Are You Gonna Bingo?”. First, she asks her friends at the bus stop if they are “gonna bingo” and then she appears in a variety of places as a way of showing that The Sun’s online game can be played anywhere and at any time. Thus, she is a seen on a mini golf course, on the red carpet, standing in a field, at the greyhound races, in an Asian tea plantation, and in Tenby, Denby and Scratchy Bottom. She is also seen playing bingo while riding a horse that raps.
The integrated “Are You Gonna Bingo?” campaign, which launched on Wednesday, February 21st, also includes print, digital, radio and social media activity. The Sun’s Chief Marketing Officer, Kate Bird, described the campaign as “memorable and entertaining” and praised the creative team’s efforts into capturing the target customers’ attention and drive brand awareness.
