Nokia is introducing the new Nokia 6 and Nokia 7 Plus with Android One in a heartwarming commercial, aimed at highlighting that “When re rely on each other, we need a phone we can rely on”.
The spot tells the story of two childhood friends who share the same passions and interests, and also the same phone: a Nokia. This is the phone that brings them together when they need each other, in important moments of their lives: when remaining stranded on a snowy road, after a breakup, on the wedding day, and when one of them needs to take his wife to the hospital to give birth. “When we rely on each other, we need a phone we can rely on” onscreen lines read at the end of the spot, while the two friends are seen taking a selfie with the newest member of the family, a cute baby. Captures of the Nokia 7 Plus are included throughout the ad in an attempt to illustrate the idea that the phone features a long-lasting battery and a professional camera mode that allows users to quickly and easily adjust the white balance, focus, ISO, shutter speed and exposure compensation.
The soundtrack music is the 2011 single “Pelican” by English indie rock band The Maccabees, from their third studio album, “Given to the Wild” (2012).
HMD Global, the home of Nokia phones, announced, on Sunday, February 25, 2018, four new additions to its award-winning portfolio of Android smartphones: Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 7 Plus, new Nokia 6 and Nokia 1, and that it is to become the first global partner to have a full suite of devices selected into the Android One programme by Google.
