Mercedes-Benz GLC Advert Song – Man Trying to Wash His Hands at Modern Faucets

Mercedes-Benz GLC TV Advert

Mercedes-Benz UK showcases, in a new advert, the GLC, available for purchase from £349 per month.

The 30-second spot, created based on the idea that “Great design is not only how things look, it’s also how well they work.”, opens with a man trying to wash his hands in a modern bathroom where faucets, “hidden” inside the wall and designed to “get out” based on movement sensors, make him lose his mind as they are delayed, a man falling down some stairs that have mirrors on them, and a waitress pouring red wine into a glass using a special kind of bottle that has three orifices and that gives way to a wine “cascade” flowing out all over the table.

“Great design is not only how things look, it’s also how well they work.” – the voiceover says, while on screen images of a GLC 220d 4MATIC Sport with options are seen. “The GLC. More than meets the eye.” – the voiceover adds, mentioning that the car can be bought from £349 per month.

Throughout the ad it is specified that the shown model starts from £479 per month with 6,983 advance rental. The offer clearly mentioned at the end of the spot is based on a GLC 220d 4MATIC Sport without options, which requires 8,220 advance rental.

Serving as soundtrack is a cover of David Bowie’s “Oh! You Pretty Things” performed by Irish music duo MMODE (consisting of siblings Lucy and Thomas Gaffney) and released on January 15, 2018. The song, included on their self-titled debut album, is available for purchase on iTunes.
