Netflix has released a new trailer for the second season of its original series Marvel’s Jessica Jones.
The new season follows Jones as she takes on a new case as a Private Investigator in New York City after the events surrounding her encounter with Kilgrave.
The trailer, titled “Her Way”, opens with Jessica Jones sharing her story during an Anger Management support group. “I’ll start at the beginning. My whole family was killed in a car accident. Someone did horrific experiments on me. I was abducted, raped, and forced to kill someone and I’m in here bouncing a goddamn ball,” she says while throwing a SuperBall against a wall and finally smashing the wall with that ball. In a following scene, asked how is anger management, she anwers she’s “still angry”. “Some people call me a hero. Others call me a freak. I didn’t ask for this. I’m just trying to make a goddamn living in this goddamn city,” she’s also heard saying while on screen viewers are given a glimpse into the challenges she must deal with. “People I care about are in danger. I gotta make a decision: one, keep denying it, or two, doing something about it,” she also says.
Krysten Ritter stars as Jones, with Carrie-Anne Moss, Rachael Taylor, and Eka Darville also returning from the first season. J.R. Ramirez will play Oscar, the new superintendent of Jessica’s embattled NYC apartment building.
The song used in the trailer is the 2013 single “Heaven Knows” by American rock band The Pretty Reckless, from their second studio album, “Going to Hell”.
Marvel’s Jessica Jones Season 2 launches on March 8, 2018.
