I Feel Pretty (Amy Schumer Movie) – Trailer Songs

I Feel Pretty 2018 Movie - Amy Schumer

Amy Schumer returns to the silver screen this summer in a new comedy, titled I Feel Pretty.

The film, which marks the feature directorial debut of Abby Kohn and Marc Silverstein, who wrote the script, follows Schumer’s character, Renee, as she develops an extraordinary amount of confidence and believes she’s drop-dead gorgeous after suffering a head-injury during a spinning class. Emily Ratajkowski, Michelle Williams, Rory Scovel, Aidy Bryant, Tom Hopper, Busy Philipps, Adrian Martinez and Lauren Hutton also star.

The trailer features Renee as she struggles with feelings of insecurity and low self-esteem because of her body and as she changes her life in the wake of the head-injury. In one of the scenes, she is seen looking at her reflection in a mirror, at the gym, and saying “That’s me? I’m beautiful!”, which makes the trainer behind her give her a surprised look. Thanks to her newfound confidence and attitude, she manages to find a boyfriend whom she surprises on a night out, when she gets on stage, shows off some quite bold dance moves and pours water on her body, which is not very much covered. The end of the trailer sees Renee in her apartment, giving her date “a sneak peek of what’s to come”: more precisely, she shows off her entire naked body, doing also a full spin, which makes the guy reply “I don’t know if you know what sneak peek means, you’re completely naked”.

The songs used in the trailer are “Ways to Go” by American alt/rock band Grouplove, from their 2013 album, “Spreading Rumours”, “Me Too” by Meghan Trainor, from her second major-label studio album, “Thank You”, released in 2016, and “Swalla” by Jason Derulo, featuring Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign, from Derulo’s fifth studio album, “777”.

I Feel Pretty is scheduled to be released in the US this summer, on June 29.
