DIRECTV highlights, in a new commercial, that it “gives you more for your thing” and that urges viewers to switch to DIRECTV and find out how to get a $200 reward card.
Titled “Great Ratings”, the 30-second spot features a man who gets top-rated things, from coffee (he goes to a coffee shop and buys a coffee made of Paul’s no.1 roast), barber shop services (he goes to Nice People Barber Shop, rated the best in Charlestown), pizza (he orders Nino’s #1 pizza), and films, which he watches on DIRECTV. Finally, he is seen returning home with his pizza and getting ready to watch Blade Runner 2049, rated among the best films of 2017.
The ad also highlights that DIRECTV is rated #1 in customer satisfaction over cable and urges viewers to switch to DIRECTV and get a $200 reward card before adding the tagline “More for your thing. That’s our thing”.
The company specifies that the monthly cost is min. $35/month, promo price after discount that starts within 3 bills and that it may require AutoPay. The reward card, part of a limited time offer, ending March 31, 2018, it is informed that it is valid with 24 month agreement and that customers must maintain service and redeem the card within 75 days.
The song used in the commercial is the 2018 single “We Out Here” by London based producers Atomic Drum Assembly, released earlier this month, on February 12.
