Citroen UK has released a new advert, showcasing the new Citroën Berlingo and some of its most important features, while highlighting that the automaker didn’t invent the family, but did invent the car that goes with it.
The 90-second spot, titled “We didn’t invent the family but we did invent the car that goes with it!” and set to the rhythms of Mr. Crock by French pop indie/rock band Mr. Crock, features a family using various Citroen Berlingo models through the years, while a male voiceover is heard expressing a Berlingo’s thoughts. “The family and me, we’ve done a lot of road together. When we first met, that’s what it looked like. When I think of it, I was the first car that really cared about them. Ah, those weekend getaways! But then the family broke apart. Became recomposed. Mixed. Nobody’s act to follow. But I hang on. I too have evolved. When they all started living with screens, I joined in, too. I’ve incorporated a glass roof, easy access, smart storages. I’ve always tries to adapt to their needs. Sometimes even anticipate them.”, the voiceover says.
Throghout the ad, various features are shown, including the optional Modutop, which offers up to 170 litres of ceiling-mounted space in an ingenious central storage area, individual air vents and large, light-loving glass panels, the 7″ Touchscreen with XTR trim level, which enables the driver to control DAB radio, audio streaming, your MP3 player and phone calls, including hands-free Bluetooth, as well as navigation functions, the available reversive camera, which transmits images to the 7″ Touchscreen, which illuminates automatically when reverse gear is engaged, the panoramic glass roof, and storasge solutions.
The new Citroen Berlingo also features three independent and easily removed rear seats, a flat floor through to the folding front passenger seat, load volume of 2.70 m and 100 l of additional boot space, 19 driver-assistance technologies and four connectivity technologies, the EAT8 automatic gearbox, and comfort suspension settings.
Now available in two sizes, M and XL, measuring 4.40 m and 4.75 m long and featuring five and seven seats, respectively the new Citroën Berlingo will be revealed at the Geneva Motor Show and launched in the second-half of 2018.
