L’Oréal Paris continues its “Comeback” ad campaign, promoting the new L’Oréal Paris Elvive range, which helps to revive all forms of hair damage, with a new commercial, starring Camila Cabello.
Titled “Comeback”, just like the previous ad, starring Winona Ryder, which first aired during the 2018 Golden Globe awards, this new spot features the former member of Fifth Harmony, who has become the first woman in three years to hit No. 1 with her debut full-length album, and the first woman since Adele to triple up atop Hot 100, Billboard 200 & Artist 100 Charts, getting ready before a show. “When they say you’re not ready, that you’ll never make it on your own, that’s the time to really shine.” – she’s heard saying in the background, while on screen she’s seen making the final touches in the backstage before heading on stage.
“Everyone loves a comeback. Dry hair can have one too.” – onscreen lines read at the end of the spot, when Camila’s song “Never Be The Same” is also heard.
The ad will debut during the Grammys on Sunday, January 28.
“I think a comeback is defined as struggling through something and having the strength and resolution to push past it. For me, it was about taking chances, aiming high and believing that I was worth it. I can now finally hear everything my heart was telling me.” – Cabello, who left the girl group Fifth Harmony in 2017, said in a statement.
According to Nielsen Music, her debut album, “Camila”, arrives atop the Billboard 200 with 119,000 equivalent album units, and the hit single “Havana,” featuring Young Thug, rises 2-1 on the Hot 100 in its 23rd chart week.
The new Elvive range includes shampoo, conditioner, damage erasing balm, and recharge treatment.
