Chanel gives people a glimpse into the new makeup collection by Lucia Pica in a new commercial, part of the brand’s Spring/Summer 2018 campaign.
Called “Neapolis New City”, this new collection is inspired by Lucia’s hometown, Naples, described as a city “with a vibrant, intense and sensual personality”, and includes a series of new shades for a variety of products, including the Joues Contraste powder blush, with a compact and silky texture that gives easy application and subtle blending, the “Dimensions de Chanel” mascara, which focuses on length, curl, definition, volume and care, and features a longwearing formula that does not run, the “Ombre Premiere” longwear cream eyeshadow, the “Les 9 Ombres” eyeshadow, all showcased in the 20-second spot. Other products in the collection that also feature new hues are the waterproof long-lasting eyeliner “Stylo Yeux Waterproof”, with Nero Vulcanico, Legendary Green, Celadon, and Mare-Chiaro, the luminous intense lip colour “Rouge Allure”, with two new red shades, Incantevole and Vibrante, the luminous matte lip colour “Rouge Allure Velvet” and the matte liquid lip colour “Rouge Allure Ink”, as well as others.
The soundtrack music is “Venus” by Dutch producer and video director David Douglas, from his 2017 sophomore album, “Spectators of the Universe”.
Chanel’s Spring/Summer 2018 campaign also stars Monika “Jac” Jagaciak, the Polish model that Polish model that became one of the most talked-about newcomers of the fall 2009 season after opening and closing Calvin Klein’s show during the New York Fashion Week, showing viewers how she uses products from the “Neapolis New City” collection to highlight her features.
