Asda Rollback Load Up Advert Song – Rollback On 1000 Products This January

A hilarious new Asda advert promotes the supermarket chain’s rollback on over 1000 products across the store.

The 30-second spot features a couple arriving in the parking lot of an Asda supermarket and seeing several customers loading up their vehicles with hundreds of products purchased at rolled back prices. While some of them just use the trunk, others are piling the items into their boat, others are cramming them into a minivan, and others in a delivery van. Among the products showcased are Heinz Beanz, Heinz Hoops, Magnifico Tomato & Herb Pasta Mug Shot, Naked Noodle, Napolina Chopped Tomatoes, Bran Flakes, and many more.

“Load up this January with over 1000 rollbacks across the store, including hundreds of your favorite brands. Or order online for home delivery.” – the voiceover says at the end of the spot, which also informs that products with rolled back prices are subject to availability, in selected lines and stores.

In terms of online orders, it is specified there is a minimum spend and that delivery charges apply. An optional 40p carrier bag charge also applies.

The song used in the ad is Billy Ocean’s 1988 hit single “Get Outta My Dreams, Get Into My Car”, from his seventh solo studio album, “Tear Down These Walls”.

The rollback prices end from 06/02/2018. In 2015, Asda was the subject of a controversy related to its “biggest ever rollback” as it was revealed that the supermarket chain had put up the prices of 4,718 products, including many household essentials, in the five weeks before the announcement made about the price cuts.
