Adidas Adicolor Commercial

Adidas showcases the new adicolor collection, for Spring/Summer 2018, which – according to the iconic apparel brand – “transcends cultures and eras to redefine itself in always new contexts”, in a commercial.

The spot features classic styles included in the men’s and women’s collections, reimagined for a new generation in a quartet of primary colors: blue, green, yellow and red. Among the shown pieces there are a red boys jacket made in sporty, modern recycled polyester tricot, with vintage-inspired details like ribbing at the collar, cuffs and hem, and an embroidered Trefoil logo on the front and 3-Stripes down each sleeve, tees with an oversize rubber-print Trefoil logo front and center, track jackets with the Trefoil logo on the chest and 3-Stripes down the sleeves, as well as other items that have all the details of the ’70s originals.

“What color is blue? Sky blue or Monday blues? And green. Is it green fingers or green with envy? Red balloon or red alert? Yellow sad or stays mellow? Blue moon, green planet, red hot, yellow cheese. Every color. adicolor.” – the voiceover says in the 45-second spot, soundtracked by Peer Gynt’s “Op. 23, Act II: Act II Scene 6: I Dovregubbens hall”.

Adidas’s SS18 adicolor collection, which includes both apparel and footwear, launches online January 18.
