Volkswagen highlights, in a new commercial titled “Kids Dreams”, that the automaker thinks of all the children when building a Volkswagen, not only those inside the car, but also those on the road.
The spot, created by Grabarz & Partner Hamburg advertising agency, features several kids playing with their peers and dreaming about cars like Porsche, Lamborghini, and Bugatti. These luxury models apparently have an amazing effect on the little ones: make them forget everything else around them and follow them with a stare. Because of this, a boy crossing the street without paying attention risks to be hit by a Volkswagen Golf, but, luckily, this vehicle is equipped with the “Front Assist” ambient traffic monitoring system and the city emergency brake function brakes automatically just in time.
“Hardly any child dreams of a Volkswagen. Keep on dreaming, kids.” – onscreen lines read at the end of the film, which is soundtracked by a cover of Gordon Lightfoot’s “If You Could Read My Mind” performed by Scala & Kolacny Brothers.
The German car manufacturer also highlights that thanks to this innovative driver assistance system, there have been 45% fewer Third Party Injury liability claims in the UK for Golf 7 with “Front Assist” with city emergency braking compared to other small family cars.
