Grubhub urges people to get their favorite local restaurants delivered with Grubhub in a hilarious new spot, part of its “Real Special Instructions” campaign, that features, as the name says, real special instructions given by customers to diners.
The “Opera Chicken” 15-second ad features a Grubhub employee reading the Special Instruction #396103 submitted by a woman named Olivia before placing her order: “Please use only free range grass-fed organically pampered chickens who listen to opera in their coops.”, and continues with him fulfilling this wish and playing opera for a chicken who sits on a royal pillow.
The music playing is “Le nozze di Figaro, K. 492, Act 2: Voi, che sapete che cosa è amor”, one of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s most famous operas.
The online and mobile food ordering company, dedicated to connecting hungry diners with local takeout restaurants, has also launched an original YouTube series called “That Delivery Show” and described as “guide to crushing the food delivery game”.
