Uber Australia has launched a new ad campaign, titled “Tonight I’ll Be Eating…” and starring nine celebrities, to
promote the food delivery app UberEATS, as well as some of the dishes offered by restaurants across Sydney, Perth,
and Brisbane, that can be delivered to people’s door “quickly and reliably”.
Among these celebrities there is also Boy George, who shares a “saucy” secret with viewers in the 15-second spot in which he stars. Seen in a luxurious room, on a huge bed, doing his nails, the English artist says that tonight he’ll be eating “a yellow coconut curry, sticky date pudding and custard from The Raw Kitchen in Fremont”. A few seconds later, the doorbell is heard and a delivery guy places an UberEATS bag with Boy George’s order near him, on the tray holding his beauty products.
The campaign features also Hollywood actress Naomi Watts, Australian singer Sophie Monk, Australian actors Ryan Moloney, Ryan Kwanten, Australian rules footballer Nic Naitanui, who plays for the West Coast Eagles, Australian artist, actress and runner-up in MasterChef Australia Poh Ling Yeow, Australian journalist Peter FitzSimons, and Australian retired professional rugby league footballer Beau Ryan.
