Tesco wishes people a Merry Christmas in its 2017 Christmas advert, highlighting that “Every family has a different turkey tale” and that, however you cook yours, Tesco has got a turkey for you, as well.
The 60-second spot, titled “Turkey, Every Which Way”, which marks the start of the British retailer’s “Everyone’s Welcome” campaign, features several families of various backgrounds and religions getting together for preparing and eating the festive turkey, that is (obviously) purchased from Tesco. Despite the different ways they choose to cook their turkey and the issues some of them are facing while handling it, they are all happy to celebrate together this special holiday, sit around the table and have fun, and indulge themselves later on with a turkey sandwich.
The advert, created by BBH London and set to the rhythms of a cover of Shakin’ Stevens’ iconic 1991 festive song “Merry Christmas Everyone”, also highlights that you can find turkeys in selected Superstores & Extras from December 19 and pre-order them online from November 26.
Tesco has also launched an donation scheme aiming to support 6,700 charities across the country in their mission to help people experiencing food poverty or who are alone at this time of year. Thus, between November 6 and December 25, the retailer will donate £1 for every fresh turkey sold to food charity partners FareShare and The Trussell Trust.
