Pepsi MAX encourages people to “try a new tradition this Christmas with Pepsi MAX” in its holiday ad, released with
the hashtag #TryItLoveIt.
The spot, soundtracked by music composed by Her Space Holiday, features Iceland’s first professional surfer, Heidar Logi, and his fellow surfers starting a new Christmas tradition: ride the cold Icelandic waves, at night, with their LED-fitted boards, and enjoy afterwards a can of Pepsi MAX by the fire.
The brand of low-calorie, sugar-free cola, marketed by PepsiCo as an alternative to their drinks Pepsi and Diet Pepsi, has come up, during its #TryItLoveIt campaign (which is based on the idea that “Pepsi MAX knows that if you don’t already love it, it’s just because you haven’t tasted it yet.) with a series of challenges for some athletes.
Thus, Norwegian professional ice hockey winger Mats Zuccarello has been invited to try flowboarding for the first time and Belgian professional footballer Vincent Kompany, who plays as a central defender and captains both English club Manchester City and the Belgium national team, has been invited to swap the pitch for the ice and try curling for the first time.
