“Roll together, Feast together.” – this is the tagline of KFC’s 2017 Christmas campaing, done by creative agency Mother London.
The spot, directed by Jake Schreier, features a group of six dancers singing Sam Cooke’s 1964 song “Good Times” using KFC empty buckets as a musical instrument. The girls, who seem to be also good friends, are seen improvising a choreography and laughing at the end of their step dance performance, as a way of illustrating the idea that a KFC meal brings them all together and that those who “roll rogether, feast together”.
The campaign will roll out across social media, editorial, TV, radio, outdoor, and in-restaurant, and will also include limited-edition buckets designed by five artist collectives.
