Hulu has released a new trailer to promote its original series Future Man, starring Josh Hutcherson.
The Hunger Games star plays Josh Futturman, a janitor by day and world-ranked gamer by night who is recruited by
mysterious visitors to travel through time in order to prevent the extinction of humanity. Eliza Coupe, Derek Wilson, Glenne Headly, and Ed Begley Jr. also star.
The promo, titled “Time Travel 101”, features the visitors from the future, who introduce themselves as soldiers, asking Futturman’s help to save the world. The latter advises them to blend in, since it’s “Time Travel 101”, leading to a series of awkward situations, with the two soldiers (played by Eliza Coupe and Derek Wilson) adopting a behavior that gives them away. They are seen dressed in doctors’ uniforms, walking on a hospital’s corridor and saying to patients’ relatives “Good to greet you”, Wilson’s character is seen gobbling a pickle in a bar because “it’s amazing” just when Futturman asks him to act normal, and Eliza’s character is seen making conversation with a middle-aged man, telling him, immediately after meeting him for the first time, “Hello, the night air is cool, you look like you’ve lost a massive amount of weight”.
The streaming service highlights, at the end of the promo, that features the song “Danger Zone” by Kenny Loggins, that all episodes are now streaming only on Hulu.
