Tile has launched a new campaign promoting its Bluetooth Tracking Device and inviting you to join the Tile community and “help build a world where everyone can find everything that matters”.
The centerpiece of the campaign, a spot titled “Lost Panda”, created by ad agency Deutsch, Los Angeles, and directed by Mark Malloy, features Ernie, a 15″ tall stuffed panda bear wearing a sweater vest, who finds himself lost in New York City. He embarks on a long journey to go back home, at his owner, a little girl named Lucy, going through a wide range of places, many of them from Romania. He takes the subway (from the Titan station, Bucharest, Romania), a train, walks through a forest then up a snowy hill in the mountainside, where he’s found by a man who gives him a ride with his truck transporting sheep. Ernie is also seen in the back of a motorcycle, in a boat, together with an old man, in the back seat of a taxi, on a sidewalk, walking under the umbrella of a young woman on a rainy night, until finally arriving in the same place he left from. It is there that Lucy and her father show up and take him home thanks to Tile, the device that helped them find him.
The song playing in the background is “Girl in My Dream”, composed and performed by Stephan Altman of Mophonics.
Tile is described as “the little wireless tracker that’s perfect for keys, wallets, bags, bikes or anything else you never want to lose.” Paired with the Tile app, it makes it easy to find all these objects.
If your Tile is within the 100-foot Bluetooth range, it will play a loud tune until you find it. If you always keep the app running in the background, Tile will automatically remember the last time and place you last had your item so you know where to start looking.
