Samsung Galaxy S8 Bixby Commercial Song – Massage Therapy (Michael Bolton Tattoo)

Samsung Galaxy S8 Bixby Commercial - Massage Therapy

Samsung showcases what Bixby, the all-new virtual assistant for Samsung Galaxy S8, S8+ and Note8, can do in a series of new spots.

In one of them, the manufacturer shows us “A smarter way to change a song in Google Play Music”. The 30-second ad, titled “Massage Therapy”, stars a woman getting a massage at a saloon, asking the masseuse if she has anything else they can listen to. The latter asks Bixby to open Google Play Music and play Michael Bolton’s greatest hits. Why Bolton? Because she sees a tattoo featuring Michael Bolton on the woman’s shoulder.

The song playing is the artist’s 1983 hit single “How Am I Supposed to Live Without You”, appearing on the “Soul Provider” album.

The spot, which also mentions that voice command recognizes English (US) and Korean and that it works with a select list of Samsung and third-party apps, ends with the voiceover saying the campaign tagline, “Whatever you need, Bixby it”.

The campaign focuses on Bixby’s other features, as well, including its capacity of setting a reminder for you, turn on the flashlight, reject a call and reply with a text message, take a selfie and post it.
