BBC has released the trailer for the fourth season of Peaky Blinders, its epic gangster drama, set in the lawless streets of 1920s Birmingham.
The show, created by Steven Knight, revolves around Tommy Shelby (played by Cillian Murphy), the leader of the Peaky Blinders gang, which operated in Birmingham, England, during the aftermath of World War I. Sam Neil plays a main role, as well, portraying Chester Campbell, a commissioned detective tasked with suppressing the gang. The ensemble cast also includes Helen McCrory as the aunt of Tommy and his siblings, and treasurer of the Peaky Blinders, Paul Anderson as the oldest Shelby sibling, Joe Cole as John Shelby, the third youngest Shelby, Annabelle Wallis as Grace Shelby, a former undercover agent, Tom Hardy as the leader of a Jewish gang in Camden Town, Adrien Brody, Aidan Gillen, Kate Philips, and others.
The song used in the trailer is a cover of Chris Isaak’s 1989 hit single “Wicked Game” performed by London Grammar, appearing on the compilation “Sounds Of The 80s”.
The trailer announces that season 4 of Peaky Blinders will be coming soon on BBC Two.
