Natalie Portman stars in the new Miss Dior campaign, described as “an absolute declaration of love”.
The acclaimed actress challenges viewers, raising the question “And you, what would you do for love?”, and gives her answer in a whirlpool of emotions. The spot, directed by Emmanuel Cossu, features her in a variety of places, experiencing a whole range of emotions. At home, with her partner, she’s asking him to prove he really loves her, at the seaside, she’s diving into the water, with her dress on, on the beach, she’s running joyfully and she’s looking straight into her lover’s eyes. She is also shown under the sheets, laughing while fooling around with him somewhere near the Eiffel Tower, throwing a bunch of pink roses into his face, pushing him during a fight on the street, embracing him during a bus ride in Paris, and “writing down” the word “Love” in a parking lot while drifting with a convertible.
“And you, what would you do for love?” – Natalie asks at the end of the film, which features the 2014 single “Chandelier” by Australian singer Sia, from her sixth studio album, “1000 Forms of Fear”, released in 2014.
