Givenchy has released a first teaser for its campaign film Transformation Seduction, by newly-appointed artistic director Clare Waight Keller.

The clip, shot in a private manor house in New York City by photographer Steven Meisel, features models Saffron Vadher and Meghan Roche wearing lace t-shirts and holding their cats, Elias Bouremah and Kolton Bowen lounging with their felines, wearing tuxedo pants and gold jewelry. The soundtrack music is “Lullaby Variation 5” by Jazz musician and film composer Krzysztof Komeda, known for his film scores for the movies of Roman Polanski and Ingmar Bergman.

With reference to this campaig, Clare said she loves “the idea of a woman with a feline air”. “A person may seem slightly reserved, but they have that serene, straightforward gaze. They’re seductive. You want to meet them, know more about them, and be like them. I wanted to play with that modern attitude and expression because I feel like it’s an apt metaphor for Givenchy’s current evolution.” – she also said regarding her approach of using cats.

The campaign will debut online, outdoors and in the September issues of selected international print media in the month leading up to Clare Waight Keller’s first Givenchy presentation. Her debut collection for Givenchy, including fashion for both women and men, will be shown during Spring Summer 18 Paris Fashion Week, on October 1st, 2017.
