British brand Boots celebrates the internal power and energy that cosmetics can bring in a new advert for No7.
The 30-second spot, created by agency Mother London, features Olympic fencer Monica Aksamit giving an impressive display of the transformative power of make-up and the confidence that comes from feeling ready for anything. Images of Monica fighting against a competitor in a surreal landscape alternate with images of her putting on makeup, including the new No7 Age Deying Serum Foundation, that helps skin look “smoother, firmer and more radiant”, and new No7 Lash Impact Mascaras, for ultra-volume and waterproof finishes.
“Make-up doesn’t make me better. Or does it?” – Monica is heard asking at the end of the advert, which is soundtracked by the British singer-songwriter Dan Owen’s song “Hideaway”, set to be released soon as a single.
No7 is brand of anti-ageing creams, skincare and cosmetic products developed by Boots UK, that now has a 3 for 2 deal on selected products, ending September 26th.
