Samsung showcases its new, enhanced wearable devices Gear Sport, Gear Fit2 Pro, Gear IconX – added to its portfolio on August 30 – in a new commercial, aiming to highlight that these combine the best in smart fitness and health and help users “go beyond fitness”.
The spot features how the new Gear devices assist with a wide range of activities, from robust fitness tracking to nutrition and sleep monitoring, as well as motivational coaching as a lifestyle companion. “My cardio, my lunges, my stroke, my hydration, my kettle bell, my power lifts, my stretch, my shhhh, my cool down.” – are the onscreen lines, illustrating that “every time you move, eat, drink and sleep, you’ll discover a better you”. The song used in the ad is “Bullfighter Jacket” by Miniature Tigers, from their fourth album, “Fortress”, released in 2010.
While Gear IconX is a second generation of the company’s cord free earbuds, Gear Sport is a sleek and versatile fitness-focused smartwatch and Gear Fit2 Pro is an upgraded GPS fitness band with smart features. These last two are both water resistant and allow users to easily track, thanks to Speedo’s latest swimming training app, Speedo On, key swim metrics including lap count, lap time, stroke type and more. They also offer advanced real-time heart rate monitoring regardless of the activity you’re doing, be it a stress-free nap or an intense workout, provide access to Under Armour’s fitness apps including UA Record, MyFitnessPal, MapMyRun and Endomondo for activity, nutrition, sleep, and fitness tracking functions, and keep you in tune with your body thanks to the automatic activity detection capability, as several categories of activities are recognized, such as walking, running, cycling or performing dynamic activities that could include dancing to basketball.
