Academy Award winners Jane Fonda and Robert Redford reunite for Netflix’s upcoming original film Our Souls At Night.
Directed by Ritesh Batra, the film, based on the best-selling novel of the same name by Kent Haruf, which aims to highlight there’s no age restriction to falling in love, revolves around widow Addie Moore and widower Louis Waters, who have been neighbors for years, but haven’t formed any kind of relationship. This changes when she decides to make a connection with him.
The streaming service has released a teaser trailer, set to the rhythms of Etta James’ “A Sunday Kind Of Love”, featuring the two actors in a car, apparently on a road trip, with her getting closer to him, while he’s driving.
The cast also includes Matthias Schoenaerts, Judy Greer, Bruce Dern, Iain Armitage, Rachel Hergert, and Fred Osborne.
Our Souls At Night will have its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival on September 1 and will be launched on Netflix on September 29.
