Colgate UK promotes Colgate Total in a new advert, asking ladies if they are “totally ready for Mr Right”.
The 30-second spot features a young woman who washes her teeth with Colgate Total and then takes a ride by train to work. On the way, she fools around in front of a little girl, getting the attention of a handsome guy standing not far from her and enjoys the squash, even if the train must stop for several minutes, because she’s confident thanks to Colgate. “Are you Totally Ready to catch an eye…for sparks to fly…for Mr Right?” – asks the voiceover, mentioning that “Colgate Total fights bacteria on teeth, tongue, cheeks, and gums for 12 hours, so you can be totally confident of a healthier mouth”.
The song playing in the ad is 1967 hit song “(Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher and Higher” by Jackie Wilson, included on her “Higher and Higher” album.
The Colgate Total range includes Whitening Toothpaste, Freshning Toothpaste, Daily Repair Toothpaste, mouthrinse, toothbrushes, and interdental floss.
