Transparent Season 4 (Amazon Prime 2017 Series) – Trailer Song

Transparent Season 4 (Amazon Prime 2017 Series)

Amazon Prime has released the trailer for season 4 of Amazon’s most award-winning original, Transparent.

In the upcoming season, the Pfeffermans take off on “a spiritual and political journey”, according to the streaming service, as they dig deep into their family’s history. Maura makes a “startling discovery” in Israel, where she goes to speak at a conference. The rest of the family joins her and they must deal with unexpected challenges.

Jeffrey Tambo reprises his role as Maura Pfefferman, the transitioning matriarch of the Pfefferman family, Judith Light as Shelly Pfefferman, and Gaby Hoffman, Amy Landecker and Jay Duplass as the adult Pfefferman kids Ali, Sarah and Josh.

The dramedy Transparent, which debuted in 2014, has represented trans interests through the inclusion of several trans actors onscreen and trans advisors working behind the camera.

The trailer features Maura going to Israel together with Ali and finding themselves in a totally unexpected situation right in the airport, Shelly telling Josh that she has “no idea what boundaries are” when he says she’s a “boundary pusher”, and Maura saying to Ali that she’s dating. When asked “What’s her name?”, Maura answers “Donald”, leaving Ali speechless for a second.

The song used in the trailer is “Everything’s Alright” by Yvonne Elliman, Carl Anderson & Ted Neeley, featured in the 1973 American musical drama film Jesus Christ Superstar, directed by Norman Jewison.

Transparent Season 4 is set to premiere on September 22.
