The LEGO Ninjago Movie (2017)

Warner Bros. has droped a second trailer for the upcoming animated adventure in the LEGO franchise, The LEGO NINJAGO Movie.

Directed by Charlie Bean, Paul Fisher and Bob Logan, the film follows young Master Builder Lloyd, aka the Green Ninja, and his friends, who are all secret ninja warriors, as they try to defeat, led by Master Wu, the evil warlord Garmadon, who is Lloyd’s father.

The cast includes Dave Franco as Lloyd, Justin Theroux as Garmadon, Olivia Munn as Lloyd’s mom, Michael Peña,
Fred Armisen, Kumail Nanjiani, Abbi Jacobson, and Zach Woods as the secret ninja crew, and Jackie Chan as Master Wu.

The trailer features how the inhabitants of the NINJAGO City are terrified by Garmadon, who is The Worst Guy Ever, destroying everything and reveals a conversation between Lloyd and his mom, who tells him about how his dad was on they met. “So, when you guys got together, was dad always an evil warlord?” – asks the young boy. His mother says he “had so many plans, he was so ambitious” and that “he said he wanted to conquer the world”, but she thought it was a figure of speech. Because of his dad, Lloyd is an outcast by day and a hero by night. Together with his friends, he embarks on a dangerous mission, to take down Garmadon and make NINJAGO a safe place.

The trailer also shows a cat ruining some buildings and causing terror among the LEGO figures in her attempt to catch a laser light.

The songs used in the trailer are Taylor Swift’s hit single “Bad Blood”, from her fifth studio album, “1989”, and the number one hit ballad “It Must Have Been Love” by the Swedish pop duo Roxette, from their 1992 album, “Tourism”.

The LEGO NINJAGO Movie is set to be released this fall, on September 22, in both 3D and 2D.
