The flagship brand of the Boston Beer Company, Samuel Adams, invites you to “Enjoy the Colors of Summer” in a
new commercial, showcasing the Summer Ale’s limited edition packaging.
“From the blazing yellow of the afternoon sun to the fiery orange of an evening sunset to the electric blue tint of a summer night, the colors of Summer Ale and its crisp, citrusy flavor, are your perfect companion anywhere, anytime.” – states the brand, whose Summer Ale returns for its 21st year.
The American Wheat Ale, that will be available from May to Mid-August, is brewed with two-row pale malt blend and malted wheat and with special ingredients, including lemon peel and Grains of Paradise (a rare pepper from Africa used since the 13th century to create a spicy flavor).
The song used in the ad is “Shimmy Shimmy Ya” by British sound engineer and record producer Prince Fatty (Mike Pelanconi by his real name) feat. Horseman. This track is actually a single by Ol’ Dirty Bastard, from his 1995 album, “Return to the 36 Chambers: The Dirty Version”, but was covered by Prince Fatty. “Shimmy Shimmy Ya” has been featured in several movies and TV shows, such as the movie Knocked Up, series Fresh Off the Boat and Breaking Bad, the trailer for Luke Cage and the soundtrack for the video game Skate 3.
