Korbel Champagne Cellars promotes its sparkling wine in a new ad, titled “Runner”.
The 15-second spot features a woman who, at first sight, seems to be a runner, but is actually a participant at a sack race. She wins the race and celebrates her accomplishment with a bottle of Korbel, which is popped on her and the other racers. At the finish line, a friend is waiting her with a glass of Korbel and everyone hugs each other and enjoys the drink.
The spot, promoting the Korbel Brut and featuring the song “Soul Sister” by British singer-songwriter Richard Myhill, ends with the brand’s tagline, “Toast Life”.
A 750 ml bottle of Korbel Brut, which is made with 100% organically grown grapes from some of California’s premier vineyards, and created in the classic Korbel style, “crisp, delicate and bright”, costs $14.99.
According to the manufacturer, when it comes to food pairing, Korbel Brut is great with aged, salty or creamy cheeses, but also with braised poultry, fish and roasted root vegetables.
