The 18-year-old Canadian singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes has become the face of Emporio Armani’s newly launched “Connected” line, that focuses on the smart watches business.

Mendes, who walked down the runaway of the new Emporio Armani clothing collection like a model, on Saturday, June 17, stars in a 30-second ad for the Italian brand, sporting some of its new smart watches, and showing off his dancing skills on the rhythms of his 2016 single “Mercy”, from his second studio album, “Illuminate”, remixed by Divino.

The Emporio Armani Connected touchscreen smartwatch is compatible with Android phones and iPhone, enabling you to “stay in the know with messages and notifications delivered directly to your watch and stay in style with a customizable watch face and interchangeable straps that can be changed to match your look”, and also to control your music, like Mendes does in the ad.

The Emporio Armani Connected collection will be released in stores this fall, on September 14, 2017.
