Asda highlights, in one of its latest adverts, that they’ve got everything you need for your summer holiday and urges you to turn your back garden into a big adventure.
The 20-second spot features a young red haired girl packing, together with her father, for a holiday. They already have a trim suitcase filled with clothes, where they add a beach towel, a T-shirt, sun cream, and flip-flops.
“Right. Let’s go!” – says the girl, who’s then shown outdoor, with her father. “This looks like a nice spot.” – he says, ready to put down the beach chair he’s holding. As the filming angle changes, viewers get to see that the man and his daughter are actually in their backyard. “Wonder what the locals are like” – says the girl smiling.
The spot, promoting Asda’s offer on sun protection products (2 for £6), men’s and women’s flip flops (from 99p), and beach towels (£5), ends with the voiceover saying “Everything you need for your summer holiday” and inviting you to “turn your back garden into a big adventure”.
The song playing in the background is “Fragile” by Tiggs Da Author, from the album Fragile, which has been used also by Virgin Active in their first ever global marketing campaign titled “Go There”.
Asda’s Holiday Summer offer, valid in selected stores, includes also “good sturdy luggage”, clothes for everyone, and travel toiletries.
