Zillow Group’s Trulia brand has launched a new ad campaign, titled “The House is Only Half of It”, to highlight that, when it comes to finding a place to live, there are also other things to take into consideration besides the house itself, such as the neighborhood.
One of the spots released by the residential real estate site features the Coburns, a family of three in search of a house, who discover, in a potential neighborhood, some quite big issues: a goat walking around in the children’s play area, swings that collapse to the ground in pieces out of nowhere, and neighbors that fire a tree while acting out near the barbeque. Eventually, they find their dream home thanks to Trulia map overlays, that proved to be extremely helpful in locating the neighborhoods and homes that suit them best.
“When it comes to buying a house, Trulia knows that a house is only half of it.”, states the voiceover, adding that, “with Trulia 34 map overlays, like playgrounds, demographics, schools, and more, you can find the right house
and the right neighborhood for you”. The spot ends with the voiceover saying the tagline, “The house is only half
of it”.
The song playing in the background is the popular song “It’s a Good Day”, written by Peggy Lee and Dave Barbour and published in 1946. Peggy Lee dueted the song with Bing Crosby on four occasions on Crosby’s Philco Radio Time show in 1946/47. Since its introduction, the song has been recorded by many singers, including Vic Damone, Perry Como, Bing Crosby, Dean Martin, the barbershop quarted PACIFICAIRES, Judy Garland and Susie Arioli.
