Toyota UK showcases the new Toyota Yaris Hybrid in a TV advert, released with the tagline “A new energy for the
city”.
The 30-second spot, filmed in Johannesburg (South Africa), features a young woman driving a neon-blue Yaris Hybrid on city streets and passing by an unlikely parade, of people dressed in neon-blue uniforms. “Hybrid technology, no plugging in”, says the voiceover, while on screen a charging station is shown with a spider web on it to illustrate the idea that it wasn’t needed and used.
Boasting a bold colour range and stylish features, such as innovative TFT multi-information display, streamlined
multimedia system and 3-spoke leather steering wheel, this super-smart city car, besides ensuring a stress-free and
comfortable driving experience, “brings a shot of adrenaline to everyday driving”, turning an ordinary trip into a journey packed with energy and vigour. As for the safety features, Toyota Safety Sense, including Automatic High Beams, Pre-Collision System, Lane Departure Alert, Road Sign Assist and more, is now standard on Yaris, as well.
The song playing in the ad is “Busy Earnin'” by English modern soul musical collective Jungle, from their debut album, “Jungle”, released in 2014.
