Samsung TV showcases, in a new commercial, The Frame, a ground breaking TV designed to look like a picture hanging on the wall, allowing you to display display a custom designed piece of art, to blend beautifully into your interior design.

The 30-second spot, titled “The invite to The Frame”, features a couple who show to their guests, another couple, their home. After looking at the works of art displayed all around, the lady gets closer to a frame which proves to be The Frame. The hosts’ kid turns the TV on to watch cartoons, revealing that it was not a picture, as the visitors thoughts, but a TV.

“Turned on it’s a TV, turned off it’s an art piece” – says the voiceover at the end of the ad, which features the song “Les Rosiers Du Sentier” by Vincent Lepoivre.

The Frame, available in 55- and 65-inch sizes, displays images from its library of more than 100 art pieces, including landscape, architecture, wildlife, action scenes and drawings, but it allows you to display also your own photos. Using a motion sensor, this TV will always show its picture when someone is in the room, according to the manufacturer, the screen going blank and saving power, when there’s no motion around.

Samsung revealed that The Frame will be available at €2.199 for the 55-inch model, which will be on sale from the end of May 2017.
